There Are Many Other Great Places To Swing You Detector

     A good place to start is old Rail Road Tracks, I have found a good deal of Old Coins around them. 

     River Banks are a sweet place to find Coins,Jewelry and Relics.  Rivers Have been around for along time. Just think of the early settlers who used to fish and boat up and down them.  There were many different activities that were done along rivers……Which means Lost Treasures For Us To Find

     Old Farm Fields are one of my Favorites, Most Group Metal Detecting Hunts that I have been on have been in Fields.  I cannot belive some of the Old Coins that are found there.  And there is an abundance of Relics Also.

     Old Roads in the woods along stone walls, Many early Settlers traved these roads by horse, buggy or foot.  And there were many Valuables lost along the way.

Winter time is a great time to go out and do some detecting…..If the ground isn’t frozen solid then go for it.  Just think there is no bugs flying around,its not hot and humid and there are no leaves on the tree’s.  Just dress alittle warmer and pack on the layers.  Here Watch this Video

  2. Another great place is construction sites, maybe the town is digging up a road or putting up a new building or just adding new landscape. This is a great time to check that dirt they are moving around. I have heard of many people finding some valuable coins doing this. Good Luck

    There is a park across the street from my house that dates back to 1890, it used to be an overnight car park until 1930 when the city turned it into a day park and installed a wading pool… it is now 80 years later and they will be getting rid of the wading pool soon…. gonna be an excellent spot to hunt before they level that area ….
